A: ICOG is the Illinois Criminal Offense Guide. This is a Guide for the Police Officers and Prosecutors of Illinois to guide them in fitting the right charge for the crime. It also has the Illinois Sentencing Guide that helps fit the correct sentence for the crime committed.

Q: You say there are 3 different versions, which is best?
A: All 3 versions have exactly the same information. There is really no best version and it depends on how you are accustomed or want to get your information. The 3-Ring binder edition is in 2 books. Volume I has the Illinois Criminal Charging Guide and Volume II has the Appendixes and The Illinois Sentencing Guide and Illinois Offense Digest. The CD edition has all of the items listed above in 1 large Portfolio. The CD edition is completely searchable via a search box on every page. This On-Line edition is still in the finishing stages.

A: Absolutely. We want this Website to be a living and growing resource for you. We always throw around ideas of things to add to both of our Web Sites. This Site will have the newest edition available on January 1st and July 1st of each year. The subscription service is fir the information in the current year only. In order to receive the next years info the subscriber will need to fill out a new order form for each year.
